More of a ‘hands on day’ with a competitive edge, designed to encourage team work. We can supply two (or more) well matched yachts and structure the racing to suit any level of sailing ability. Example Itinerary
This is a sample trip itinerary to give you an idea of the experience. Timings can be adjusted to suit the the needs and interests of the group and may be affected by the weather.
0900 You will be greeted by your skipper and have a chance to get to know one another over a breakfast of bacon rolls, coffee and juice.
0930 Once onboard the yacht, the skipper will give a safety brief and run through the itinerary for the day.
1000 Depart Portsmouth Harbour (or Lymington) for a practice sail. All guests are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the various roles required to maximise performance of their yacht.
1230 A buffet lunch can be enjoyed whilst at anchor (weather dependant) or there will be an opportunity to go ashore for lunch.
1400 Yachts will head off to the start line in preparation for the afternoon race.
1430 Racing will commence with yachts following a specific course around various Solent marker buoys. The weather conditions on the day will determine the approximate duration, but we aim to finish within 2 hours.
1630 After the race, the yachts head back to base with afternoon tea whilst underway.
1700 On arrival back at the Marina, the winning team can be presented with a prize in the Marina bar before departure.
Our RIB will be on hand to start and finish the race, and if required we can provide you with some great photographs of all the action! |
